Our Opening Times

We open from 8.00 - 6.00, Monday - Thursday, 5.30 close on Friday.

We are open 50 weeks a year, closing for a week over Christmas, the first week in the summer holidays, and Bank holidays. Fees will not be charged for these closure periods.

Our holiday club is available for school children up to the age of 8 years old. These sessions are ADHOC. Spaces for this are limited so please book early.

Daily Routine

We practice a mixture of adult and child-led activities, as well as free play at Nanny's House. Our toys are at low levels, to help initiate child-led play and encourage independence and individual interests. There will be key group sessions that run in the morning and again in the afternoon, which are planned activities, in small groups, focusing on the areas of the E.Y.F.S.

Admissions and Settling

When you decide to take a space at Nanny's House, there will be a deposit of £100 and a £50 registration fee.

To ensure an easy transition for the child and parent, settling sessions will be organised that are convenient for the family. These sessions are free and 2 weeks before the start date, reflecting the sessions that they will be attending.

What they will need

Your child will need to bring a small bag with them every day. They will need a change of clothes and suitable footwear. Cream or comforters can be brought in if needed. Nappies and wipes will be provided by the setting and included in the price.

You will need to provide sun cream and a hat in the summer months.

Food and Nutrition

Encouraging healthy eating with young children is very important to us. We know children at this age are discovering new foods and eating habits, so we try to educate children on making healthy choices. We provide 2 nutritious snacks and a hot meal with a pudding, throughout the day. We use a catering company, Zebedees, who provide delicious nutritional meals, for all dietary requirements.
